Mr. Barnes has been practicing family law for over 17 years.   He has extensive experience in handling complex and high-conflict divorces.   He has been recognized by the Speaker of the Assembly of the State of California, the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law, and Bet Tzedek Legal services for his contributions.   He also serves as a court appointed attorney for minor children involved in high-conflict custody cases.

In addition to providing representation in court we also provide mediation services.  Mr. Barnes is a trained family law mediator.  Parties can save thousands of dollars in legal fees by choosing to go to mediation rather than court.  Parties can choose to mediate the entire divorce or specific issues such as custody or property division.

By limiting our services to these areas we are better able to remain on the cutting edge of legal developments.

STARTING AT $750.00.  In addition to providing comprehensive litigation and mediation services in complex and high conflict cases,  we also offer reasonable rates in simple uncontested matters.  If you and your spouse do not have children or real property and have agreed on all of the issues involved in ending your marriage we can assist you at a very reasonable cost.  We can prepare all of the paperwork and advise you along the way.

This cost does not include the fee the court charges when you file for divorce.
